A little gem

This is the place to stay. Clean, tidy, friendly and with a HUGE yard to stretch the legs. What a beautiful view of the mountains. Didn’t expect that. Had room service which was on time, meal was hot and edible. We had Angus Steak and salad. Showers hot. Room smelled new and very fresh. Very happy. :)

Koorawatha Homestead Motel is the ideal stopover for travellers driving between Mackay (or Emerald) and Brisbane, being the half-way point. Bororen is part of the Discovery Coast with easy access to Gladstone(53km), Turkey Beach and Agnes Waters-1770(41km). Fishing, boating and water sports and popular activities in these areas. Awoonga Dam is inland and is worth a visit. It is well known for its boating, fishing, skiing and canoeing, and a great spot for picnics and BBQs. Benaraby Raceway is just down the highway and holds regular race meetings. Miriam Vale is worth a visit and to enjoy the new park just one block off the highway - one of the loveliest parks in the area.
